Philadelphia City Hall Address
Philadelphia is known for its historic landmarks, and Philadelphia City Hall is no exception. The City Hall of Philadelphia is the largest municipal building in the United States. The current Philadelphia City Hall building began construction in 1871, taking more than 30 years to finish. The tower is 548 feet tall which makes it the world's tallest masonry structure without a steel support frame. The building is a landmark on the inside and outside with over 14.5 acres of floorspace and incredibly lavish public rooms. The building contains a City Council Chamber, Conversation Hall, Supreme Court Room and Mayor's Reception room, all of which are ornately decorated. On the outside, there is an observation deck that allows the public to see a panoramic view of the entire city, a must for visitors and locals alike. The hall's tower was the tallest building in the city up until 1987. People visiting Philadelphia and City Hall can take a guided tour of the building Monday through Friday. The observation deck is also open to the public five days a week. City Hall is one of the best attractions to see in Philadelphia. Tours and Tower Admission
