Memorial Hall Address
Memorial Hall is located in Fairmount Park. It was designed in 1876 for the Centennial Exposition. It was completed after two years of construction beginning in 1874. Memorial Hall was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. Over the years Memorial Hall had several uses, but eventually fell into disrepair. The Please Touch Museum signed an 80-year lease for Memorial Hall in 2005. Between 2005 and 2008 Memorial Hall got an $85 million renovation. Finally in October 2008, the Please Touch Museum opened in Memorial hall. There are more exhibits at the new location for the museum, because of the larger space available. The Please Touch Museum is aimed at children ages 7 and under with many events and interactive exhibits focused on teaching and education. Open: All year long, except major holidays. Hours: Monday - Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM, Sunday from 11 AM to 5 PM. Admission: Paid Memorial Hall Address: 4231 Avenue of the Republic
