National Museum of African American History and Culture is a Smithsonian Institution museum opened in 2016.

It's located on the National Mall in Washington, DC. It has 37,000 objects in a collection about segregation, community, family, religion, civil rights and slavery.

Free timed tickets are used for admittance.

Same-Day Online

Same-day timed entry passes are available online beginning at 6:30 AM daily until they run out. Same-day passes are not available via phone.

Walkups (Weekday Only)

Limited number of walk-up passes (one per person) are available starting at 1 PM on weekdays on Madison Drive side of building. No walk up passes are available on Saturdays or Sundays due to high visitation.

Advance Online

Advance timed entry passes for individuals are released on first Wednesday of each month.
