This National Arboretum Map shows the main entrance on New York Avenue. However, we recommend entering the National Arboretum by the R Street gate. To get there turn south from New York Avenue onto Bladensburg Road and then R Street.

This gate has convenient parking after you enter and is near the visitor's center.

The other entrance is the New York Avenue Gate. We do not recommend this entrance, because you can only enter when heading east on New York Avenue. When you exit by this gate you can only go east into Maryland.
