If you are visiting Los Angeles, we recommend renting a car.
Unlike most major cities in the United States, Los Angeles does not have
a convenient and cheap way to get downtown from the Airport. In fact, few
visitors to Los Angeles ever see downtown LA.
Taxi and Hotel Shuttles - are on the Lower/Arrival Level islands in front of each terminal.
If taking a taxi, tell the driver where you are going and get an estimated fare before departing.
Shared Ride Shuttles - Several shared ride, door-to-door shuttle companies serve LAX Airport.

LAX FlyAway - Has scheduled bus service to Union Station, Westwood (UCLA) and Van Nuyes.

Metro Buses - Take the "C" Shuttle to the Metro Bus Center, where you
can board city buses serving the Los Angeles area. Information on city bus
service is available by telephone on the Information Display Board in the
baggage claim area in each terminal or call (800) 266-6883. You can also visit the
Metro website.
Metro Rail - Free shuttle bus service is provided from the Metro Green Line Aviation Station.
Passengers wishing to use this shuttle bus service should wait under the LAX
Shuttle & Airline Connections sign on the Lower/Arrival Level islands in
front of each terminal and board the "G" Shuttle. For more information visit the
