AirTrain makes frequent stops around the airport at airline terminals, parking lots, hotel shuttle areas and rental car facilities. During peak times (4 AM - 9 AM and 3 PM - 8:30 PM ) AirTrain departs every 5 minutes. At all other times AirTrain departs every 10 minutes. AirTrain rides around the airport are Free. Cost to take AirTrain from either the Howard Beach or Jamaica Stations to JFK Terminals is $5. Children under 5 ride free Get to Manhattan cheaply by taking AirTrain to the Howard Beach or Jamaica Stations and then use either the NYC subway or LIRR train.
