Saarinen building currently closed for refurbishment. It is unclear when building will reopen or what purpose it will serve.

John F. Kennedy International Airport, commonly known as JFK, is New York City's largest international airport. It is 15 miles from downtown Manhattan with subway, train and bus service available.

There are numerous hotel offers to choose from if you need accommodation near the airport. If ever a flight is cancelled or severely delayed, some airline companies might book rooms for their passengers in a nearby hotel.

If your flight leaves very early in the morning, it is a good idea to stay in a nearby hotel before departing.
