Honolulu Airport Ground TransportationSpeediShuttleCommencing October 16, 2011, SpeediShuttle will provide affordable on demand door to door service from the airport to your home, office or hotel, from Koolina to Kahala, including Waikiki and Honolulu Harbor (Zones A, B and C). The service area will be expanding to cover substantially all of Oahu in January, 2012. Daily Departing within 20 minutes of check-in with Shuttle Attendant at pickup zone. Shuttle Stops Shuttle stops are conveniently located on the ground level at the tour group areas adjacent to Baggage Claims C (Interisland Terminal) and H (Diamond Head Terminal), as well as curbside at the Overseas Terminal (between Baggage Claim D and E) and the Commuter Terminal. SpeediShuttle Greeters and Shuttle Attendants wearing red aloha prints are present throughout baggage claim and at each pickup location to arrange your door to door transportation. SpeediShuttle signage is located throughout the terminals and at each pickup zone. Wheelchairs All shuttles are accessible for persons with wheelchairs via portable ramps. Public BusPublic buses - TheBus - arrive at the airport about every 30 minutes depending on route number:
Baggage Rules No backpacks with metal frames allowed. All bags must be placed under the feet or on the lap without protruding into the bus aisle. Bus Route 19 Eastbound route goes from the airport, then to Kalihi Kai (via Nimitz Highway), downtown Honolulu, the Honolulu Civic Center, Ala Moana Shopping Center and ends in Waikiki. Westbound route goes from the airport and ends at Hickam Air Force Base. Bus Route 20 Eastbound route goes from the airport, then to Kalihi (via Nimitz Highway), downtown Honolulu, the Honolulu Civic Center, Ala Moana Shopping Center and ends in Waikiki. Westbound route goes from the airport to the Arizona Memorial, Aloha Stadium, Aiea and ends at Pearlridge Shopping Center. Bus Route 31 East bound route begins at Tripler Medical Center and goes to the Kalihi Transit Center. The Westbound route begins at the Airport and goes to the Kalihi Transit Center. H2>Taxi AMPCO Express is the managing contractor of the Airport's Open Taxi System at Honolulu International Airport. Their phone number is: (808) 861-8294 The state of Hawaii started the Airport Open Taxi Management system to allow all taxi companies to be able to pick-up at the airport. Taxis are available on the center median in front of the terminal baggage claim areas. See the taxi dispatchers (green shirts with black lettering, and the wording TAXI DISPATCHER) for service. The fare from the airport to Waikiki during non-rush hour periods is $35 - $40.
