Rates are calculated by a meter.However, taxis can accept fares based on an hourly rate.A 7.5% state tax is added to hourly rate fares.

Meter charges are asfollows:

$2.25 for the first 1/8 mile or less
$0.25 for each additional1/8 mile or fraction thereof
$0.30 for each one minute or $18 per hour for wait time
