Dulles Airport Aerotrain Map
Aerotrain is the automated airport train system for Washington Dulles International Airport, connecting passengers between the Main Terminal and the midfield A, B and C Gates. The Main Terminal station is located just beyond the security checkpoints.
- Mobile lounge service remains to the D Gates where there is currently no AeroTrain station.
- The H Gates and Z Gates are connected to the Main Terminal - so no train ride is needed to there.
- Passengers arriving on International flights will not ride AeroTrain because they must first clear U.S. customs.
- The first day of service was January 26, 2010.
- The master plan for the future of Dulles calls for multiple midfield concourses, served by two full AeroTrain loops.
AeroTrain has improved the passenger experience at Dulles:
- Less than two minute travel time between stations
- Train speeds up to 42 miles per hour
- Express, underground transit between stations
- The system is expandable as the airport grows
The AeroTrain System is located beyond the security checkpoints
- Departing passengers follow signs "TO ALL GATES" then look for signage to the gate area after the security screening checkpoint. Passengers heading to the A, B or C Gates will be guided by signage via AeroTrain.
- Arriving passengers follow signs "TO BAGGAGE CLAIM / GROUND TRANSPORTATION." Domestic passengers arriving at the A, B or C Gates will be guided by signage via AeroTrain. International arriving passengers will board a shuttle to U.S. Customs the same as in the past.
