Bus & Metro To Washington DC

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (Metro) has Express bus service between BWI Airport and the Greenbelt Metro Station.

On the lower level at the airport, follow signs that say "Public Transit".

The BWI Express/B30 service runs every 40 minutes, 7 days a week to the Greenbelt Metro Station, which is located on the Green Line of the Washington Metro System. For more information call 202-637-7000.

From the Greenbelt Metro Station you can travel to several Metro subway stations in downtown Washington DC.

The fare for the BWI Express Bus is $3.10. Metro fares vary by station with an estimate of $3.70 to downtown Washington DC. These rates will soon increase slightly.

Your trip from BWI Airport to Washington DC will take 1-2 hours and cost about $7.
